SUNDAY MORNING AT A GLANCE
What happens In Clubhouse?
The Clubhouse provides two different learning experiences on Sunday morning.
At 9:30 we begin with a short time of energetic worship (through song and dance) planned and led by our fourth and fifth grade student leaders. After the worship time, the primary focus is to connect and build relationships with one another and our adult leaders in small groups (K-1, 2-3 and 4-5) with age appropriate Bible lessons, crafts and activities.
At 11:00 we have energetic worship planned and led by our fourth and fifth grade student leaders with focus on Bible lesson in a large group setting before breaking off into small groups for crafts/activities to help reinforce the lesson.
Each week our children are challenged with a “Walk The Talk” directive to put their lesson into action. There are also four memory verses per quarter for our children to memorize. These are provided each week to our children on laminated cards.
Our Kids Block is totally volunteer fueled and wouldn’t exist without the leadership and expertise of our volunteers. To properly staff our Kids Block it takes 30 volunteers per week. Each volunteer has a part to play on our team. Some of the volunteer roles are:
Clubhouse Small Group Leader
Serves as primary role model for the same group of 10-15 children on a weekly basis. Teach, facilitate and lead discussion activities in the weekly Bible lesson. We are requesting a quarterly commitment for this position.
Clubhouse Small Group Activities Leader
Responsible for leading activities and discussion of the lesson that was provided in our Large Group story-time. One Sunday per month commitment.
Clubhouse Small Group Assistant
Assist small group leaders in classroom activities. We welcome Jr. High and Sr. High students for these positions.
Check-In Station Greeter
Greet members and new visitors. Check in children for Backyard and Clubhouse areas and print nametags.
If you have a desire to serve our children at Nicholson Christian Church, please contact our Children's Minister, Adam Leigh.
Upon arrival at the church, ask any one of our greeters to direct you to the check-in counter. Your child(ren) will be given a badge to wear with their name on it and a security number. You will be given a badge that matches that number. If we need to contact you during the service, your number will flash up on the screen located over the main door in the front of the sanctuary. If you see your number, report back to the Clubhouse drop off area.
