Welcome!! Nicholson Christian Church welcomes you and your family to God’s Big Backyard Children’s Ministry. Thank you for trusting us with your greatest blessings, your children. We take this responsibility seriously while enjoying and caring for your precious children.

The God’s Big Backyard Ministry is committed to supporting and strengthening our children and families in biblical principles while providing a safe and secure environment for all the children.

It is never too early to start teaching children how much Jesus loves them and that he wants to have a relationship with them. We celebrate that love and begin to develop that relationship with even our youngest children.

Hi! I am Mary Teegarden the Children’s Director here at Nicholson Christian Church. I live with my husband Aaron and our three beautiful children Jack, Emma and Meg. I got my undergraduate degree in elementary education at the University of Kentucky and my Master’s Degree in Education at the Northern Kentucky University. I spent five years teaching second and third grade in Kenton and Boone county schools. In addition to that I spent two years as the Children’s Programmer at the Independence Branch Library. I have deep love for the Lord and for Children and I have combined those two loves to do this job. In my free time I love to sing and play the piano as well as spend time out in nature. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I can’t wait to meet your family when you visit Nicholson Christian Church.
